How to Sign Up / Who Can Participate

Visit us at the library to register and get your log sheet, stickers and bookmark. 

All ages can participate for free books and a chance to win raffle prizes!

Ho to Participate

Track your reading using circles on your reading log.

    • Ages 0-7: read 50 books by Aug. 12 (1 circle=1 book). For those ages 0-7 who are reading chapter books, 1 circle=1 chapter. 
    • Ages 8+: read 1,000 minutes by Aug. 12 (1 circle=20 min) 

Bring your completed log to the Prescott Public Library to get your prize! Turn in as many log sheets as you can between June 3 – August 31.

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

Help your child get ready to read when they start school! This program is for kiddos from birth until they enter kindergarten. 4K kids can join too.

Stop into the library for your starter packet (reading logs and tips) and free book to get started!

The online reading challenges through Beanstack will be ending in April 2025 (10 to Try & Travel Time). If you wish to continue or start 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten, it will still be available at the library.
